A plantbased organic joyful experience

Strandgarden’s kitchen is generous, offering simple, authentic dishes that most people will recognize.

Hannah Ross, the main chef, serves three meals a day as buffet style.  She is inspired by childhood memories and flavors from India and the mediterranean, recreated in an organic, healthy, plant-based form.

We also prepare healing juices and irresistible cakes. Various menus for retreats and events are tailored to seasonal vegetables.

When you rent Strandgaarden with the chef, the menu is pre-set and agreed upon no later than two weeks before your event. If you have special requests, we’ll work it out together.

Snacks will be served upon arrival, in the afternoon, and in the afternoon a delicious homemade cake is served.

For longer retreats, such as a week, two or three cakes is served.

If you would like a special cake, such as a raw cake, it can be ordered at an additional cost.

Coffee and tea are included.

Cream, butter, and cheese are plant-based.

Additional snacks can be ordered for a fee.

Theme: Moroccan, Indian, Asian, Mediterranean and Danish cuisine

Friday
Arrival
Tea, coffee, fruit, and bread with butter and jam.
Dinner
Soup or another stew with salad and sides
Saturday
Breakfast
Porridge with toppings. Fruit, juice, yogurt, rolls, butter, cheese, and jam.
Lunch
Warm protein-rich dishes: Indian food, bean stew, quinoa casserole, lentils, curry, baked root vegetables, patties, and warm salads. Each lunch includes fresh salads and sides.
Afternoon
Coffee and tea with homemade cake. This could be carrot cake, apple cake, chocolate cake, zucchini cake, or similar.
Dinner
Soup with bread, roasted seeds, and other accompaniments.
Sunday
Breakfast
Porridge with toppings. Fruit, juice, yogurt, rolls, butter, cheese, and jam.
Lunch
Warm protein-rich dishes: Indian dal, bean stew, quinoa casserole, lentils, curry, baked root vegetables, patties, veggie balls, and warm salads. Each lunch always includes delicious fresh salads with accompaniments.
